What residence options are available for British citizens in Spain?
Since January 1st, 2021, British citizens:

Below are the two most common situations we encounter.
Residence permit based on family reasons
This typically applies to families made up of a couple — married or not — and their children. When the family decides to move from the UK to Spain, the British member must regularise their status in the country through a family-based residence process.
Residence permit based on professional or academic reasons
This includes a range of scenarios. The most traditional is a British citizen who finds a job in Spain and needs a work visa. It can also include people who wish to study in Spain, or those who plan to work remotely (as digital nomads) or start a business. There are several visa options available for each of these cases.
How to apply for a residence permit in Spain as a British citizen?
The answer depends on the specific path you choose, as each has its own requirements and procedures. In general, you may need to provide:
